Hi

When trying to save internal memory space for a tour I’m on atm where we’re using the MPC for our click and backing track, I accidentally deleted ALL content on my MPC X, so all the drum programs (909s, 808s, Lyn etc) all the genre stuff (dubstep hip-hop etc) all the synths, pads, string etc too.

Looking for the way to re-download all of this, and get the MPC X back to how it was when I first bought it with all the content back. Any help would be muchly appreciated, can’t seem to remember how I got it all on the machine to begin with, hopefully it’s re-downloadable.

Thanks

Don't know how to help you. You should not be using internal memory or projects and you definitely should not be messing around with the pre-installed content.

If you have backups you should be OK. All of the sounds used in your projects are saved with the projects so the lack of the factory content should not make a difference.

There is no way to restore the content or download it. You need to contact Akai support, hope someone answers, and they need to send you the factory restoration image.

If you just need the content you can download it from your akai account, but you’ll need to copy it to different drive. Only akai have the special installer that restores everything to the internal drive (or learn about using the ssh hack, then you can copy the content over yourself via sftp)
