Not gonna happen. Roland and Korg both have their own VST versions of their 'flagship' romplers. Korg hasb oth the M1 and the Triton, Roland even has an XV one as well. I highly doubt either one is going to license that content to the competition. Akai never had a rompler of their own so they'll have to take it from someone else.

they dont need to license anything; anyone can make a clone of an instrument under a different name, as we saw with the mini d; also there is an pcoming clone of the juno synth coming in the next update, so they can make a copy of any instument they see fit and just call it something else.

This is not how software works.

Unless the code for each sampler was taking up substantial amounts of RAM or they impacted the performance of each other (which they don't) there is no noticeable waste of resources (especially since the samples themselves will take up vastly more resources).

LoL, Dude, this is not how context works, pay attention.

I was talking about human resources AKA engineers spending time developing these concurrent sample playback engines, not whatever you think I was talking about. Of course in order to understand the meaning of my sentence you'd have to pay attention more than 10 seconds to the entire discussion and not just a single post that triggered you.

The MPC's never been Akai's most advance samplers but they did add Auto-Sampling so that's progress...I guess.

What geeky sampling features do you want?

Im not looking for no geeky shit I am happy with the mpc as is; just looking for a mixer and aranger view.

other people have be complaiing that there are features missing from the mpc that were on previous akai samplers, and my point that those features are less relavent given the current target audience for akai samplers

So create a rompler rather than cloning someone else's.

Look how poorly the model d is laid out so that it's in keeping with its og hardware.
And oddesy for that matter.

Op4x is well laid out and easy to navigate in comparison.

Never got the make software look like hardware fad

they akready created a rompler in fabric but the sounds of old are tried and tested and people like to have access to those old sounds hence why akia went from tube synth to the odyessy and mini d, and the juno to come in the next update.

so hopefully we see the same with romplers; we have had fabric but now we want some classic romplers on the mpc.

also people like the look and nostalgia of old machines; hence why gui's are designed to capture the look of the units being imitated.

maybe Tube synth and the other instuments need some new presets to show off the sound more

That still wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference.

Air Music's engineers spending time developing a sampler won't impact AKAI's work.

The human resource cost was already explained to you. Air Music is not AKAI. I figured you couldn't be saying something so silly, so I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you were saying something at least a little less wrong.

Clearly, I was wrong.

You've lost me completely. Who said anything about your posts triggering anyone?

Just because someone doesn't agree with you, doesn't mean they're triggered by everything you say. That's such a grandiose delusion.

dude, do you realize that Air and AKAI are basically the same company?

You rushed into commenting without even trying to understand what my comment was about at first place.

Yeah they do. The soundest in the JV series is owned by Roland. Nobody is making a knock off anywhere close to the JV1080/2080/XP50/XP80/etc unless they remake the entire sound set themselves.

Copying an analog circuit is not the same thing as using copywritten media. Do you know how any of this actually works?

They're not basically the same company.

Air music tech is still based on Germany AFAIK while it seems akai professional developers are based in Cambridge, UK.

They share a parent company, but they are separate legal and operational entities.

I've worked for a developer that shared a parent owner with another developer (just like Akai/Air under InMusic) that my friend worked at. We had some shared management staff for a few products, but we were definitely not working for "basically the same company".

Is this any different?

Maybe there's something specific you know about Air Music Tech that you've yet to share ...

You keep on suggesting I'm not trying to understand you, but you've gone from "resources" to "basically the same company".

Do you not see the lack of clarity in what you've written?

How about this, then: is there anything else missing in what you've written so that nothing else is missed in this context?

OK i get you now & it's cool if you like it the way it is, but as for your point of "missing advance features being less relevant given the current target audience" - well that's a maybe, because the fact that people/customs are complaining for the lack of them makes them relevant & who exactly is Akai "current target audience", considering how much Akia & the music tech world has changed since those advance sampler were made.
Do Akai even make those type of sampler anymore?...nope...MPC's & the Force is all ya get. So now, any current samplers Akai make will have to be-> more things to a lot more types of users.

My suggestion is that Akai add those advance features but, like Roland offer a "Nerd Mode" so all those advance tools don't get in way of the basic stuff - but its still there if needed.

Dude, quit the condescending act. You clearly know nothing about human resource management nor how budgets are allocated in a corporation like InMusic.

Do you really believe that because Air engineers are in Germany, they don't remotely work with AKAI engineers in US or UK? Dude you don't know how remote work is a thing and many people from different locations can work on a same project? Do you really believe all these teams don't share code, and they are separate entities that don't talk to each other?

Why do you think AKAI OS needs to be updated each time a new plugin or a new series of plugin comes out? The process of adding plugins is not independent from OS development.

And move on. First you reacted to something I've never talked about then since I corrected your off topic answer you're adding more absurd layers to your initial hot take just to save face.

It was clear from the very start what I was talking about, you just didn't bother following the discussion correctly.

1. You have been condescending from the start.
2. I literally just said that I had worked for a developer owned by a parent company that had sister companies just like Akai/Air. So yes, I sort of, ... yunoe ... ... know how this works from actual worked experience. But hey, ... what do I know, ... ... ... you clearly know more, right?
3. I work remotely as a software developer. So yes, I sort of do know a thing or two about working remotely across the globe (and was doing so from as early as 2007 with a software developer based in Florida while I was based in London, UK).
4. There are a bajillion reasons why they might have updates that coincide with plugin releases. It could be as simple as manifest files (since this is a locked-down system), licenses, updating shared libraries (since they are using the Linux OS under the hood), or Air taking advantage of new features. It does not actually give any indication of what it involves. It could just as easily be a 1-minute task.
5. They may share code. They may not. Having a parent company does not mean they're an open house. As I said before, I have worked under the same corporate structure (and yes, they are global with offices around the globe). That all being said, whether they share code or are open to sharing code makes absolutely no difference in making anything you've said any more legitimate.

Now, that all being said, you are behaving like a petulant child. I can only assume you are too young to be using the internet without adult supervision.
