Hi all,

As there seems to be a lot of MPC Key 61 owners in this forum, I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a decksaver planned, or one that retro fits from another synth?

Funny that's what I'm waiting on myself. I'm going to put my request in.

I use lots of Gator stretchy covers and I’m fine with that.
Deck saver is just a want, not a need.
I have way more than I need, of everything.

I put in a request for the MicroKorg and that got made in 2 years I guess.... so it can be a bit faster. And they send me a e-mail when it went in production, so that's nice of them. And on their Tumblr they announced that they were also gonna make one for the XLplus. If thats for sale than all my non-rack- and non-dj-gear has a decksaver. Would be nice! Love those things.

And word to Lampdog with the Gators stretching covers, had one for my EPS16+. Worked great and really small to fold and stash away.

Just bring your Key 61 to the engineering or design department of your local uni and ask them to make an injection mould.

Or you could bring a cardboard reconstruction (which is what they would probably make the mould from anyway).

Thanks

Hey Shane,

Thank you for reaching out to Decksaver and showing your interest in our products.

The Akai MPC Key 47 cover is getting launched at Superbooth – Berlin this week and we hope to have it at retail for early July.

Unfortunately, we don't currently have a cover that fits the Akai MPC Key 61, but we are always on the lookout for new opportunities to expand our product line.

The development process for each cover can be quite expensive, so we need to gauge the level of demand before we can proceed. However, we've added your request to our list and we'll certainly consider it if there's enough interest.

To stay up to date with our latest product releases, news, tips, and offers, be sure to sign up for our newsletter on our website: www.decksaver.com. You can also follow us on social media for more updates and exclusive content.

Best regards,

Decksaver Team

I got a similar reply from the good folks at Decksaver when I asked about a cover for the Tascam Model 12.
I didn't have much hope for it being made considering their reply, but wouldn't you know - half a year later (or there about ...) they had introduced the cover for the Model 12.
So I guess it's just a matter of enough people asking them about a certain model and then they'll manufacture such a cover.

I'm still hoping for a MPC1K cover.
