Try what you have now.
Update if you want, try again, if it doesn’t work you can downgrade.

Try.

Also, preferences, look for track mute options. Instant track mutes.
EVERYTIME you update or go back down you should reset preferences.

The “instant track mute” thing has accidentally pissed of several people, lol.
Make beats with it off and then on and see how it acts.
It also doesn’t help when something is muted and THE WHOLE PAD is muted, like you can’t play it AT ALL. I don’t remember that happening on 2kxl and 4k.

2.7 to 2.8 killed my workflow.

Turning off instant track mutes helps but pads still won't pass midi on muted tracks.

Final pad bank now has all my hardware midi tracks on it as a workaround to pass midi.
