MPC One standalone with external effects pedals (how to?)

Hello MPC fam.
Q: What do I need to connect and record external effects with my MPC One in standalone mode? Can I achieve this with an audio interface alone, do I need a mixer?

You need to send the signal out of your aux through the FX unit then back to your inputs for sampling.

This is how you’d do it if you had an MPC Live. You have an MPC One, you don’t have the physical extra outputs to do it this way.

MPC One main out -> pedals -> audio interface/mixer -> speakers.

If your pedal is stereo then all good, if mono then of course you'd only be able to effect 1 channel (left) unless you sum the main outs which is something normally not done imo.
