The Force is closer to the RS7000 since they're both clip based & may be a better choice depending on your needs.

There is a huge difference though. In the RS7000, clips AKA phrases are shadow copies, which means that modifying one phrase in a section will change the same phrase if used in another section. Of course, one can always duplicate phrases so they become independent. The Force doesn't do that.

the MC101/707 solve the very problem the Force has. Any row can be selected in a MC707 scene, which means that scene 1 can have a clip from track 1 row 1, track 2 row 3 and track 3 row 4, scene 2 can be clip from track 1 row 2, track 2 row 2 and track 3 row 6, and there is no reason why it shouldn't work that way.

The best thing about rumors like this is that they depress the prices of used MPC Xs.

I wish the Force clips work liked the RS7000 & also had it's Track/Phrase Exchange feature & I also have the MC707, but it so easy to copy & rename clips on the Force it kinda makes up for it. Plus the 707 clips has a 32 bar limit, which may not be a problem for some but it a big "Oh Hell No" for me. So i don't use it's sequencer, but the synth & FX's is dope!
I like how on the Force has 128 tracks & each can have 999 clips that all can have different bars lengths & that you can in real time play & stop any 1 clip on any of the 128 tracks at the same time. Also the crossfader & macros.

I find it "interesting" that the day after Andy Mac visits Bolo Da Producers home, his next video is asking if Native Instruments should make a new Maschine!!!!!!!

I may be reading too much into it but I think Andy mat have left Bolo a little present and it's bigger and badder than we all thought. That's why he's asking about NI doing something new as he can't mention Akai yet?

That's also what I am waiting for.
But not on this expensive and too big plastic monster nor on a useless keybed, just on a balanced sized new Live, which is a perfect compromise for size, price, portability etc

I wish we could divide the Pads into 2 regions to put different sample layers on them, so depending on where you hit the pad, you'll get more of a layer, also with different ways to mix the ratio of how much a layer will play on the regions so like 100% at edge of the pads but 50/50 at the center. Kinda like a manual round robin. The MPC would be able to do 4 regions because of its bigger pads...dreams.

Here's what would shake my boots:
1. HDMI - So l can attach any size screen to it.
2. 16GB ram - optional to up grade to 64GB ram
3. Tight OS!
4. Drum or sound editing program like Audacity free.
5. Built like a tank, like the MPC 2000xl., not that rubbery bullsh*t they have on the live. Smh
6. $1,999 price tag.
