Youtubers are not in the music-making part of things, they're in marketing.

Like is it gonna be $200 to get 3.0
Or will the older ones run 3.0 Light or something.
Will there be $500 worth of software that the older machines have to pay for.
MPC X's are dipping down to $800 range. Looking tasty.
How much further can the market be pushed down?
The prices I've seen
MPC Touch $250
MPC Live $350
MPC Live2 $600 (Retros Seem to be + $200)
MPC One $400 (Retros seem to be +$300)
MPC X $850
How far can an XL release crush this market? we gonna see $500 X's in July? $200 MPC ones?
Also seems strange the Force has been just sitting there holding a $1000 very little downward pressure. No Fire sales like the X
I kinda want to dump my force but Im holding out to see if AKAI has some MoJo instore for 3.0
or More Importantly IF @MPCTUTOR Releases a GD FORCE Bible! (ill prepay)![]()

The Force was initially sold at $1500 and quickly went down to $1000 , in retail. so no, no downard pressure... plenty of $800 Forces on the second hand market. Where exactly did you find a fully functioning $850 MPC X? $600 MPC Live 2? $350 MPC Live though? I'm curious /s

I may be reading too much into it but I think Andy mat have left Bolo a little present and it's bigger and badder than we all thought. That's why he's asking about NI doing something new as he can't mention Akai yet?

My Force went up for me i got it for $700 open box @ Amazon in 2021. I was mad for a sec as they were going for as low as $500 for a while back then....I never knew forces were ever $1500
As for prices There is plenty of places to check.
Ebay, Offerup, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Reverb, Musicians Fiend, GC, Google Shopping, others... Hope this helps![]()
I'm kinda mad I choked on a local studio selling a 60II $1300 earlier this year.
I over thunk it for 24 hours and it was gone. Gotta be quick.

No fully functioning MPC X or MPC Live are selling at these prices. If you see those prices then these are scams, not deal. If you're point was to boast about how the Force "didn't loose value" then factually this isn't true.

Some are legit gripes though.
Some are not.
HouseWithoutMouse wrote:Yeah if you just stop complaining and eat shit for a year... Then the touch screen won't feel that bad in comparison.

B-Wise wrote:Now for "legit gripes" like crashes then yes it would be illogical not demand a fix, but for things that's within your power to overcome with practice, or by finding a workaround, like hating the touch screen, you can work on stuff like that by forcing yourself to use it more for 1 year. if a touch screen-hater did that, would using the screen still be as much as an gripe 1 year after consistent practice?
Another example (& I'm not taking shots, just using this example because it was recent in this thread),
yes the old step-seq may had been "better", but if for a year someone practiced playing the piano they may not need the step-seq as much. So by the end, the artist would have 1 skill learned or improved on & 1 less thing to complain about or at least not be as dependent on that feature. The choice for what to focus your attention on is yours & it's only for 1 year.
Now, which artist would be better 1 year later; the 1 that consistently practice or the 1 that chronically complains?
If anything just keep a complaint list until the year is over then let all hell break lose for any remaining gripes![]()
