Posting this here, but it is relating to the 1000. However that part of the forum is pretty inactive and other suggestions may be made that don't relate to the 1000 - tutor, please delete or move if you're not happy with where I've posted!

I'm in the market for a multitrack recorder of some description. I've been looking at the Zooms and the 1010 Bluebox, as well as older Roland hard disk recorders, USB mixers and field recorders.

In researching, I have discovered that the MPC 1000 is capable of doing this. If that's the case then it seems like a no brainer - I can use it to record with the added bonus if it being an mpc that I can learn and enjoy!

So I have a couple of questions -

Anyone have any recommendations of a device that can record 6 plus tracks simultaneously? Something that streams to a sd card to then mix in the daw post gig would be ideal.

Anybody able to comment on the 1000 being used in this way?

What should I look for with a 1000?

Where would be a good place to pick one up in the uk (ebay, reverb etc)

Do any of the other boxes offer this functionality?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks all. :worthy:
