Hey not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but after I've been working on a beat for awhile and I have overdub on it starts to cut out - just no sound. Then the sound will kick back in and rinse and repeat.

I've noticed that its done this when I've added more than one plugin program, but the resources don't indicate they're being stressed (memory/cpu).

I do have an external drive connected (not SSD) but I never had this issue prior to the 2.8 update (I think).

Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue - intermittent sound cut off issue?!?

It **** up my flow hard. I'll try and capture it on video to better illustrate what I'm experiencing.

You may have accidentally recorded mute automation into your track.

Try Erase -> automation, and see if it helps... of course this will erase all automation... but you can undo it... just curious if it works...

If you have a lot of automation recorded... you'll need to go into the event list and delete each mute you accidentally recorded manually.

Good luck!

I am having a similar issue. While playing plugins, the mpc audio cuts out momentarily. It returns, holding the notes that were being played before it cut out. Super disappointing. Not sure what's going on. Resources are not being stressed, as I have monitored them while playing until the audio cuts out again. Not alot of info on this problem. Hoping someone here may have some ideas... thanks.

Have the same problem on my X. It is not a problem of RAM or CPU overload. It happens to me even with basic drum patterns (Kick/snare/hi-hat) with no effects. I am always on the newest firmware. Also tried to reset the X to defaults.
As I use an SD card as my only storage medium, I also tried to format the card.
When I hit play button, the pattern starts to play and after a while it stops suddenly for a second (also the playhead stops, so it is not an accidentally recorded mute) and then it continue to play.
I also have LIVE 2, which I use with the same SD card and I haven't experience this problem on it.
