Issue with Samples cutting off

If anyone can help, I just can't figure this out.

Global program settings & all pads are set to POLY. All pads set to One shot.

Long 808 sound at start of measure (1:1) immediately cuts off - I only hear a quick "chik". If I nudge it, it plays out normal. If I snap it to the start of the measure - it plays but immediately cuts off. Also any time I set the 4 hat sounds I have to Mute Group 1, the samples play but immediately cut off. If I remove the Mute Group, samples play out as they should. Extending the note length doesn't fix this. All other tracks are muted.

There's no automation. On another track, everything plays as normal, no clipped samples, even with Mute Groups - but on the 1st track, samples are cutting off.

Any suggestions on what is going on? Thanks!

Maybe there is a second note recorded for a pad within a mute group that is not audible or without a sample assigned. I'd check the list edit or grid view.

Thanks for the tip - I checked the List View and didn't see anything that would cause the cut offs - so as a test I copied the track to another track and it worked fine. I "cleared" the first track and copied the notes back and samples were cutting off again. I turned off Instant Track Mute and the first track went back to normal - no samples clipping. I can't find any Track Mutes recorded on any track. I know Track Mutes are saved differently now since my MPC1K songs won't load Track Mutes in Live - do Track Mutes not show up in List Edit?

I'm assuming you had another track with a kick in the same position. Despite it being muted its still playing with zero volume and cutting it out.

Turning off instant track mutes mutes the midi events instead.

I'd say DOUBLE check the Affected Pads to see if one of them are set to MONO.

I‘d also guess you trigger the same drum /pad on different tracks.
