Text at the top of the page explains the differences (I translated this earlier), other than that I think they've just used the original description for the moment, I don't think that page is supposed to be live yet, it's not listed in the main 'sampler/groovebox' category, but does come up on a search. Probably another, ahem, 'accidental' leak.

True, for that I'd definitely want HDMI out :hdmi: :hdmi: :hdmi: :hdmi: and an iPad quality screen

Unlikely, either this retailer hasn't named it correctly or more likely Akai changed the name like they've done before (e.g Akai Force was originally APC Live in all leaks, MPC5000 was MPC3500 etc).

I think this was mostly to be expected since there was no FCC filing.
Sort of lackluster, but it is what it is. I do really want that big screen, q links, and 8 individual CV outs.

Biggest disappointments for me are no touch strip like on the other 2 new models, no push functionality on jog wheel (could be wrong here, but I doubt it) and no 3.0. Otherwise it was what I was expecting.

Here we go.
Exactly what I expected.
4gb of Ram and all plugins included.
Akai is just using the 4gb board they had in stock since the first Mpc X release in 2017.
Next it will be 4gb Live and One with plugins.
And Air is working on that motherboard for the future plugins.

Very cool find, and it is exactly as I predicted, minimal upgrade, just like what Denon did.

Cool nonetheless -- hopefully they'll let us buy that faceplate, and release MPC OS 3.0 soon!

Oh yeah -- and thanks @MPC-Tutor and @THXjay for sharing those screenshot! :worthy:

I think the name will still be MPC XL, with "edition" being (silent) -- MPC X Limited (edition) just like the Live II Retro (edition)

I believe it is legit, because they also still sell the OG X (which is heavily discounted)

I would think no current (modern) mpc user would buy this at that price. But I’ve been wrong before

And so we should assume the ONE + is exactly the same. Just a ONE with upgraded ram, Wi-Fi, and all the overpriced plug ins.

Looks like I’ll be shopping the second hand market for my Live replacement
