I updated mine. I have yet to spend real time with it.

Messed a bit with the zoom stuff and didn't really saw that much of a difference since the last update. Seemed smoother on smaller samples though. So, it's probably better but I was pretty okay with how it was.

Can't quite remember what the other fixes were. I did notice that right after I updated it seemed like it chugged a bit, opening the wrong windows, getting stuck. But nothing major. Probably because of my template.

think the X SE just made people more hungry for the mpc 3.0 software; I hope they make the UI more slick and the waveform graphics better as well as all the other 3.0 features, but it looks like we wont get 3.0 until the fall or possible early next year.

I doubt it. Don't think anybody really cares about 3.0 anymore aside from some folks here who seem all hyped up on their own hype. Nobody knows anything about the mythical "MPC 3.0", nothing Akai Dan promised 3-4 years ago is even valid or on the table at this point. All everybody is doing by dwelling on that is setting themselves up for more disappointment.

I thought the change log looked like the same change log from 2.11.8 with an added mpc x se dtb and kernel. IIRC they did that midi note change in the last itteration as well as the zoom issue.

u defo wrong about 3.0 there is still massive demand and anticipation in 3.0

Maybe 3.0 will appear with a new MPC Live MK3 . Then all version without 4GB of RAM will not be able to update.

makes zero sense why would would u need 4GB of RAM to run software version 3.0

some people seem obsessed with the current 2GB models becoming obsolete its like they have some scarcity mindset

Still waiting for that Disk Streaming on version 3.0..This will solve the RAM issues once and for all..
Hope it’s not a myth..
For that feature only i was considering switching to a Force but the lack of battery in it turned me off..A crucial feature for me..
And no i don’t like external power banks..

Maybe it doesn't, but Akai wants to sell more.
However, if everything has 4GB (and better CPU) they can sell more modern plugins.

At least some limited disk streaming on audio and clip programs would have been game changing for live performances. I don't care running multisampled instruments from the disk. But Id love to have the ability to stream long bar loops off the ssd.

Disk streaming might not help for the memory-hungry new plugins, unless disk streaming support is added to their playback engines as well.

But for audio tracks etc. disk streaming is a no-brainer.

I dont really care if we *get* new stuff lol it just bugs me when people pretend like they cant comprehend why anyone would want more juice from a computer. Like it's some ridiculous concept lol.
