Using a New MPC as an FX Chain?

Greets MPC Heads!

I was thinking of bringing my MPC One to mainly use for its limiter when we DJ. Going from Vinyl to CDJ's has always been an issue and this could be a great fix for leveling that audio out a little. Is anyone using their MPC like this? Just want a gentle limiter on my main so would run my mixer mains to MPC through an audio track with a limiter and then out to mains. I have not used the MPC's limiter much, I always do that stuff in Ableton. But, I would imagine its quality is decent, yeah?

Stimming is selling that insanely cool Instant mastering Chain for this kind of thing and live stuff, but it costs mega $$. MPC may not be analog but it has all the same tools.

It's an excellent replacement for a box of processors. i do exactly what you want to do and it works nice for it. you dont get *per channel* limiting with only stereo in, if you had a live you could do per-channel compression / limiting for a 2 channel set up. still thats pretty futuristic.. i say hook it up and see if it yeilds the results you want. It will indeed stop you from redlining the mix.

or you can use an audio track, arm it, put the monitor to IN , so you'll have more fx slots (the 4 insert slots of audio track plus the 4 insert of a submix if you route it to it, plus the 4 slots of the master out it's 12 slots. plus you can use send and return tracks for your delays\reverbs...4 sends for a total of other 16 additional slots lol)
