midikeyboard notes

so the question is.. i just wanna try my midikeyboard to do my basslines so i need to lay the bass sample like 16levels in the keys. i have the bravos blank midi.pgm i have mpc 2000 will i need to open the midi.pgm in mpc-editor put the same bass sample to every pad? do i need to change the tune by hand to everysample? i have understanded the midi thing that 16 levels doesnt work with playing midikeyboard? i tryed to search but no luck.. im not a newbie with mpc.. i have had it 3 years now.
