i need to find a new screen for my mpc2000.

my friend ran into some cat who did his for $125. I dont know if thats cheap or not

Yep. the crystal in the screen was messed up. He lucked up and ran into a dude who fixed it. dont know if he still has his number. If you have an electronics tech school i would take it their have students look at it.
