Stuff the 3.0 update predictions,it’s just hopes and wild claims from this community that’s expecting something that’s going to take their music to the next level, like some kind of saving grace.
I don’t get why so many feel like this newer MPC platform is somehow incomplete without this or that, and what’s with all these YouTuber people posting videos jumping on the bandwagon recently after a couple of oldskool MPC producers have slated Akai with these newer models saying they don’t crack like the old converters A/D D/A waffling on for 20+ minutes going over the same shit that if edited to whats the real point would take less than a minute all the while sitting there in their studio with a rack full of past MPCs in the background???whilst they still are using the newer generation series MPCs??!
if the sound isn’t the same stick with the MPC that does Bang!!!you’ve obviously been through every model yet only just come to the conclusion years later it doesn’t sound as good, sounds more like your pissed over the newer models and where they’ve evolved to than unsatisfied with its sound?
I’ve been using The 4K since 2002,haven’t used any other unit in that time other than the MV8800,but stuck to the 4K as I’ve grown up with it and I love the workflow and the sound, that’s why I stuck with it but certainly love the way this newer generation is going I wouldn’t say it’s better or worse than the 4K it just gives a workflow that’s sympathetic to the technology that’s of this generation and I Do like how it’s evolved, there are some tweaks here and there I would like to see but it’s not the end of the world if they don’t come and I can see myself having many hours of happy music making with it like I’ve had with the 4K but still keep the 4K when I want to work in the oldskool way I don’t feel like the Newer generation gives my sound any less fidelity out the box it depends on the limits of your production skills imo
For me this community should stop listening to all these individuals wild claims over where things are going,or hoping to go in their standards in order to gain views or popularity and just make music, embrace what is here in the newer MPCs and reconnect with the joy of making beats or whatever you use the MPCs for samplekings whilst seeems a genuine MPC guy but seems to try and be some kind of crystal ball guy with his wild claims that let’s be honest are just plucking shit out of the air based on already released products in order to look like he’s got some insider info, any of us could predict where the new hardware is evolving to!!!!!I wouldn’t trust him to tell me the time in a room full of clocks,
stop listening to Chinese whispers and crack out some tunes instead of waiting for the 3.0 train that’s not even left the update station yet
