Can we export stems with Mute Automation?

Hi all,

In the latest MPC 2.11 software it looks like you can now record your mute automation directly from the "Track Mute" page.


My question is - is there a way to Export Stems (i.e. "Explode Tracks") with the mute automation included? It looks like the "Explode Tracks" feature just includes all tracks un-muted.

As an MPC user, we often mute & un-mute tracks as part of the performance / part of the finished beat itself, but if the "Explode Tracks" feature only includes all tracks un-muted, does that mean we have to manually input these pauses & breaks ourselves after-the-fact?

That is unfortunately for you how it works. You will have to recreate mutes in the daw you’re mixing in.

I can record my Track Mutes from the Main page as well. When I export my stem, my Track Mutes are recorded in the Stem.

So the answer is YES

Thanks for your response - when you say "from the Main page", does this mean you are muting NOT from the "Track Mute" page?

Yes I can Overdub my Mutes either from the Main Screen, or from the Track Mute Screen (multiple track mute automation)
