Hi all

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good sturdy stand for the MPC X. Looking for something which I can either pull towards me on wheels, or something which I can fit my legs under which doesnt take up too much floor space. I have it on a desk at the moment but it's in an akward place and cant really access it how I want to. Thank you!

Looks nice Delphinus, I notice it has front stoppers to stop things from dropping off when the stand is tilted, do these interfere / come into contact with the front volume knob on the X? Can the stand be tilted with the weight of the X on it?

The stoppers do not interfere with the front knobs, the closest sits about 1" from the volume knob on the right side. Also, the height and tilt are all customizable. I have mine slightly tilted forward, no problem. It all locks in once tightened where you like it.

This also looks nice thanks Cocosushi, I guess the same question - do you know if the front stopper for this comes into contact with the volume knob? Its a sturdy stand? Also the peice underneath, does this interefere with your legs when you tilt the stand forward?

I've been looking for something similar. Mainly to switch rooms, switch to a more comfortable chair, get away from the desk. I saw some of these suggestions.

Ended up buying something much more affordable but with less features. Still waiting for it though.

I have no clue and only checked the web quickly for an alternative to the quik lok stand

Just an update on this post, I had the Onstage Mix 400 delivered a few days ago, so far have to say am very pleased with it. I previously had my X on a desk and as Im a short guy I always felt as though the screen was a bit too far away and would often get arm ache from reaching over the pads to the screen even with the screen up, with this stand I can wheel it right up to and over my lap - at an angle which means both the screen and pads are right there. One small modification, I have a decksaver and for it to fit over the MPC X correctly, I had to add a couple of small black foam pads each side on the bottom stoppers which are enough to space the MPC out from the bottom stoppers to allow the decksaver to slide in between - without this the decksaver either doesnt come down over the MPC at the bottom, or you can 'tuck' the cover in between but then the whole weight of the MPC is on the decksaver itself which would probably end up cracking. Only thing im thinking now is if I need to worry about strain releif on the back cables as they trail directly to the ground. Very pleased though great suggestion Cocosushi.
