Firmware 2.11.10 is out

I just turned on my MPC Live 1 and got a message that 2.11.10 is out.

I updated the firmware from 2.11.9, but I have no info on it. So, this is just an FYI to you brave (or foolish) folks like me. LOL

I just turned my MPC and seen the update. First thing I did was come here to see if anybody updated yet. 2.11.9 is mega buggy so I’m a bit paranoid about this new update

This release is for MPC X Special Edition, MPC Key 61, MPC One, MPC Live Mk2, MPC X and MPC Live hardware.
Downloading the Update
To download the 2.11.10 Firmware Update, connect to the Internet with your MPC, go to Preferences > Info, press the Update F-key and select Online Update.
Stability and reliability
MIDI Tracks
• MIDI notes on MIDI Channel 16 are now recorded correctly
The following issues have been confirmed by Akai Professional to be present in this and previous versions of MPC firmware. We are actively working on a resolution to these issues.
• In some cases, MIDI note-off messages can be sent to the wrong MIDI channel when received from multiple sources simultaneously.

And Air Delay Pro plug in FX can be downloaded

These kinds of releases, or rather than need for them, really undermine my confidence in Akai's software processes. These kinds of bugs should not be slipping out. The fact that they can correct them so quickly indicates that they are not vetting their code adequately before sending it out.

Nevertheless, I will upgrade.

I'd Rather Akai release Frequent Multiple Firmware upgrades. That would Enforce my Confidence that they're working hard to correct Flaws within the Firmware!

These releases are necessary to activate paid plugins. The plugins are contained in the OS directly, it's not a separate download (aside from assets like GUI, samples, patches...).

Clearly AKAI is bent on making the MPC a "platform" to sell DLC. If they keep on correcting bugs in the process, why not...

At this point they needa stop spitting out minor-updates and just work on making the wheel rounder. If the platform is stable, it will sell. Currently it's not been so stable and it's making all of US unstable. I'd rather wait a full year and only ever see 5 updates in its life provided they worked hard to make it bullet proof which it's not and its no fault of the buildroot... These minor updates are getting outta hand just push the major updates and stop pissing in our pockets.

It's taken 10 revisions to get 2.11 right? why..

The bugs and the time it takes Akai to fix them is what stops me from investing more into their ecosystem. I'd love some of their new synth engines but no way am I tying myself down. They seem a bit better of late though and have nearly fixed the midi note off bug (but it's taken almost 2 years) so if they keep on at this rate then I might gain enough confidence. I'd love that MPC X SE!!

I'll take it anyway update is better than no update.. it shows they see serious about their customers...

people love to complain; but most people who just smaple and chops and add a few fx and use an instrument or two likely wont encounter any issues, I wonder what peoples workflow is if they encounter all these show stopping bugs

It's like okay they are giving us bug fix updates .. the few on here never seem to be happy with anything akai puts out.. how about to those that complaining roll back to 2.03 release and move on..

I've said it before and will say it again... regardless if Akai keeps updating the MPC or not... I could keep using it in my setup, as is, or even go back to around 2.7/2.8 timeframe... and still make music for a very long time.

The fact that Akai is *still* releasing updates alone is incredible, add in the new synths and effects that were free, icing on the cake... creating a new ecosystem of paid plugins, that are extending the reason for Akai to keep updating the MPC (and Force!), for *everyone*, should be seen as a major blessing.

I'm not saying there is nothing to dream about, nothing to complain about, nothing to wish for, or whatever... but having been a long time MPC head... this is what an MPC renaissance looks like, and at least I personally never thought we'd see it happen. The market had shifted to software with custom controllers and other hardware. I would never have guessed Akai would have *ever* made another standalone unit.

Anyways... shoot for the stars!

Only a release note mentioning you need to pull that update via online update? WTH?
I hope this is jus a temp. issue....
