Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I tried to connect my external zip drive to my mpc 2000xl but unfortunately my mpc could not find my zip drive. I kept changing the settings but it´s still not working. I guess my scsi fuse is blown. Does anyonene know how to check that???

make sure to power down the zip drive after you change a setting, i just got my mpc-2000 yesterday and had the EXACT same problem until i powered down the zip

What exactly do u mean by 'powered down'?

I have a 2000 and I am having the same problem as Paylesstapes with connect my Iomega zip drive to my 2000.

he mean turn off your zip drive then restart whenever you change a setting on your xl machine mane.

i was pissed and thought i got a faulty Zip off ebay or i blew my fuse....luckily i went to the iomega site to make sure my connections where correct, and in their directions it said to turn off the zip every time i change a setting

Fa sho mane, I was thinkin' my machine was fuk'ed up also until I checked the site. I thought you could do it thru the machine without having to turn the bad boy off...what a pain. Good thing I copped one of them there internal zips mane.
