CHEAP SCSI

It's not mine so I can't speak on it.
Looks ok, the only thing strange is it's being with some O.S. chips that don't work with the SCSI kit so you still need V3.1.
Should go for less than the normal 3 bills.

I posted the link yesterday and went back today to see how it goes and i agree this is a little bit weird , it sounds like this is what remains of the upgrade ( like the rs 332 connector and the old chips putted on the right marion box see ? ).

Hard to say , but I figure that some member in CA would try to check it out locally and know for sure.

That's really bad if it does, since they always advertise the Marion Systems SCSI as requiring V3.1.
I have the 4 Eproms from V2.12 and V3.03, maybe I'll see what it does on those two.

yeah. i used to have a mpc60II with OS 2.14 and SCSI. when i sold it on ebay, i had all these little know it all punks sending me messages telling me there is no way it had scsi with that OS & that i had to be lying about the SCSI. so i opened it up and took a picture of the marion SCSI card.

i just happen to have the picture still...lol

I just got an email from the dude on eBay I had asked him what the revision on the SCSI board was and he said

I guess that part is missing. I can't find any SCSI bord for the chips to go in. As I said in the description, I have no way of knowing if this works. What you see in the picture is what you get.

Don't really know about this one, may be a bad move

I think that the O.S. are krazy anyway.
Like that V3.03 it has most of the features of V3.1, but still has the help screens.
It won't do more the the 5sec sample and erases SEQ prior to sampling.
Does have the Poly/mono mode and the things like that.

Sorry, it's not a full SCSI upgrade. It looks like a buch of leftover hardware from sombody's MPC60. There are no spacers and no SCSI board. I hope I make this clear enough in the auction description. I have added this information to the auction.

yeah That is kinda crazy. If I had 3.03 I would contact roger linn and ask if I can get a discount updating to 3.10e if I turn in the old chips.

I bug out at the help screens on my friend's 3000, it is really cool and I'm sure a big sales clincher. Don't read the manual, just hit the help key!

They are even in menus as soft buttons.

I don't need em, so I don't care, I love 3.10, so any changes to it would mess with me. I would like to get to know the old OS somewhat, but it isn't necessary for me, so it would be a bit of a distraction.

Believe me, 3.1 is the only way to go.
That's why I was asking if anyone had actually gotten the Eproms from Route66.
At that price all the 60's should be V3.1 by now.
My first encounters with the 60II were on 2.12 and I ran like h*ll, stuck with the SP12 until the 3000 came out.
Used one that wasn't mine for years then got a loaded 2000(OG) when they first came out.
Used that for about 6 months then went to a maxed V3.1 60II, kept that for like 2 years then dumped it for the xl studio.
Eventually got a maxed V3.1 60I but kept the xl.
All MPC's have advantages and diadvantages.
If I had to use just 1 MPC it would probably be the 3000LE (old and new at the same time)
