Man, I did the trial of SSL's 4K B while I was deciding on what to get and that thing was **** AWESOME. The E is a rad console, but the B is something else. Where the E is nice and pristine and "80's", the B is heavy and thick when you push it, reminds me of an older Neve style type of saturation and heaviness to it. It's too bad the damn thing is like $350 on its own or I would've bought it in an instant hah. The Softube Bus Comp is rad, it takes care of the G-Bus compressor, and the saturation in one plugin. I was using a combo of the SSL bus comp and either the Arturia Culture Vulture/Brainworks BlackBox/SSL Violet Saturation on my master, now I just use the Softube and that's it.

I just wanted to thank you all for your great feedback regarding the MPC Software Subscription Idea! Embracing the subscription model seems to be something that stimulates diverse thoughts and opinions.

Perhaps the information in this thread will prove to be useful for the AKAI MPC Software developers regarding future software versions and their rollout.

Yeah, diverse in the spectrum that goes from plain "no" to "no **** way, not in your craziest dreams"

I'm kidding, this thread became a troll box six pages ago. Please don't take it seriously...

I recently updated my Serato DJ software/setup and found that they've moved to a subscription plan which is bull... Or you can purchase the entire bundle with a bunch of stuff I personally didn't need like video and FX. What should have been like $200 ended up costing me $500 . I opted to pay the higher fee upfront to "own" the license because I don't want to be on the hook forever with a monthly fee. I hate this new model of business that companies are pushing.

I hope and pray that Akai doesn't decide to go down this road of subscription trash. I understand maybe an upgrade fee to 3.0 if it gives us amazing stuff, but if they can squash all the current bugs, I think I could live with the current state of the device. It's leaps and bounds better than the old 2000XL I started on.

Yes, apparently some would be okay with the subscription idea and others feel differently. I do not think I communicated my idea completely. I would not desire a mandatory subscription. It would be a subscription for those who wanted future updates and development. The others would be free to stay on their current platforms.

:WTF: Please just stop! & start a new topic with a better idea, because this 1 was dead on arrival & you keep try to save it. Let it go bro, its dead & why aren't those who are apparently ok with it supporting you & your idea? :Sigh:
Because your idea is :vomit: & that ok but like Soul II Soul sometimes you just gotta "Keep it Moving"
