for those who own actual Juno 106/60s -- how 1:1 is the Jura for programming? i've had an Alpha Juno forever so the Roland polysynth layout is generally familiar but can i expect any YT tutorials on the Junos to carry over into Jura pretty much as-is?

I think this is probably inmusics way of delivering the code. I did email audio plugin deals, they reckon there’s a glitch. Clunky. But anyway, code works, £53 vs £75.

I’ve purchased from audio plugin deals before, code was available immediately no hassles, I suspect inmusic are to blame for the issues :)

I'm waiting on that 2nd email now. Come on baby! 3 more $16-17 PayPal payment to go

but u can see this for urself by checking he youtube video review of jura to see how it is for programming; and then compare it with juno synth programming vids to asses this for urself

Yes, then you have concrete personal hands-on experience of watching videos. And you could for example make a reaction video about watching a real Juno programming video.

Anyone else think of coffee makers everytime you see the word "Jura"?

Also makes me think: overpriced

Not after searching Akai Jura, and my 'safe search' was off

Compare to my juno60 it’s okay at best.
Especially chorus effect is very weak.
But I appreciate that we have those in mpc standalone format. It could’ve better but it’s akai, not u/he or native instruments so I didn’t expect those(model d , jura) sounds great. It sounds okay at best.. for me.
I use it for sketch sound and in ableton recreate using tal u no lx or using real juno if I have some more times.

This is in the latest fw. I thought akai were going to address this? At the very least, the system should warn you if you have less than a certain number of days left before reactivation is required.

... And again: all my plugins had been deactivated when I switched the unit on last night. So twice in two days.

Perhaps a prefs reset might be in order.

No, it didn't work, it copied the file to the wrong directory.

To those who are interested - the Jura random arp is *true* random, whereas the native random arp in the MPC randomly selects the notes you played and repeats that pattern. I contacted Akai about this years ago and they claimed it was expected behavior, despite all of their other MPK products having *true* random. There's no way to send the Jura arp to a different track as it just sends pad data.

Also, Jura sounds more like Tubesynth than an actual Juno to my ears.

I'm getting dub techno chords with basic settings which tubesynth absolutely cannot achieve. I don't know how close Jura is to a Juno but its bloody fantastic.

Jura is way better then tubesynth; yet some how people were previously satisfied with the flat /sterile sound of the tubesynth; but now we have a better synth with a better tonal quality it really shows up how generic and trash tube synth is
