I want to put/build my one into a bigger case for live purpose but it would be tight sitting (blocking the side vents). What if an mpc overheats? Will it just shutdown or damage something without warning?

The MPC (and Force) are passively cooled, and those side vents should remain open at all times for it to operate properly. Overheating may cause system instability, crashing, and premature failure of hardware components over time.

Thanks, i think i can leave some room left/right and not blocking it completely. Though in my experience the one gets very warm top left side of the display and only gently on the vents left/right. Same for Force (and not getting warm on the display), i have the force in a fonic stand which leaves only 1 cm space on the sides, never had a problem nor did it get very warm. On a hot stage though it‘s better to take care, i agree.
