Standalone Stems... inmusic already has it!

DenonDJ (owned by inmusic) has a beta version of standalone stems so it's looking very likely that MPC will be getting it soon.....ish

Hmmm, interesting. Let's hope it's not a flagship feature or anything like that. At least the absence of updated hardware makes you think that something like this would be available in every line of products.

Could be added as one of the 'process' options in sample edit, can see this being a very popular addition.

This would be a killer feature if this will come the MPC hardware !

Share that tech with Akai so the Force/MPC can get that feature ASAP!

How about a custom Process function that could be configured to send the audio to any HTTP API ... That would open up possibilities not limited to Inmusic at all!

I was in the beta for this. They also spoke about importing the 'engine' software into the current mpc generation.

I'm sure it'll arrive the same day as disk streaming

is the CPU and RAM in the Prime 4 superior to whats in the current MPC's?

same chipset as mpc. rk3288 and 2-4 gb of ram.

I bet this wont come to mpc in order to sell people extra hardware. Glad i own an engine unit, cant wait to try it out.

It was always going to sound poor, it's an early alpha, and they're processing live audio. They'll tweak it, plus MPC doesn't need to use it in real time, quality almost certainly better when dealing with a fixed length audio sample.

TBH, the 'mp3- vibe' is pretty much standard for stem processing software

Please forgive me if I ask something too obvious, but when you all talk about stems, you mean:

A) a file with several tracks from where you can mix the acapella, bass, chords, etc..

B) a software that somehow separates tracks from a stereo source, maybe not 100% accurately

or maybe C) something else?
