MIDI Clock slave, SHIFT key stops playback?!

When synced to external MIDI clock, the Force stops when I press the SHIFT key? FTW. This is crazy. Someone on Facebook asked about this a year ago. ????????????????? Software version 3.2.3.

If it has been broken like this for a year, I think nobody in the world is using it as a MIDI clock sync slave. Their customers must be busy watching youtubers speculate if it's WORTH IT IN 2023 and buying plugins which have cool presets. Or something.

You can go into the Force MIDI settings & turn off receive clock (which is probably not what you want but if you need it turn it off) or unselect control which worked for me.

I ran into this issue back in February, when I was transferring my SP505 beats to the Force. It's actually kinda helpful once you know what's going on, tho I wish they used a different button.

You can you Shift as a MIDI kill switch & stop it from receiving MIDI, which was helpful when I didn't want the 505 to trigger the Force pads or sequencer when I pressed play on the 505 & since I remade the 505 sample program on the Force it would play both pads/samples simultaneously. Without it I would have to turn down the volume on the Force, unplug the MIDI cable, or keep having to turn off receive MIDI.

When not receiving MIDI the Force is expected to be the master clock. If it's on, then each SP-505 pattern BPM will be sent to the Force immediately, which helps to add tempo changes.

There was a post about this shift thing but I don't remember thread.

I found an easy solution! Just put some tape on the button and relabel it as STOP, problem solved.

Actually, I realized I don't necessarily need to have Control enabled for the port, if I use a separate input port for just the MIDI clock. This is weird stuff, I can't see what the logic is. But there is a workaround. With USB I can add more MIDI input ports. Thanks for your help!
