MPC One Swing

When I try to use swing it seems like it doesn't work. I hit "TC" then select "All" then move the "SWING" value up then select "DO IT" but it only affects some notes and sometimes it doesn't change anything at all. Changing the time division doesn't seem to matter. I've had other issues such as samples not previewing or loading in the editor as well as the MPC doing things like changing screens when I didn't hit a button so I'm wondering if mine is just faulty.

Swing does not affect all notes, even if you apply it to all notes. It depends on the time division and the current pattern. For example, if you have a straight 1/16th hi hat beat, set a TC to 1/8 and apply a swing of 64 - the hi hats will be shifted, but the kicks and snares remain. But the beat clearly has 'swing' due to the way the hi hat has been shifted.
