ssd 2TB is not recognized by Mpc live 2

Hello, recently I did installed a Samsung evo 870 ssd 2TB drive in my Mpc live 2. It is exFat formatted... According to akai 2TB is the max size for the Mpc live 2. Mac book pro sees it, but the Mpc doesn't. is there any advice out there how ti fix this? Thanks in advance your kind support... best, ag

Interesting I was just about to buy one.. it has to be a formatting problem..

I doublechecked... it is exFat... just as alai recommend it. I tried formatting in all possible ways: straight connected to my MacBook, and also inserted into the Mac and than hooked to my MacBook.. it is strange...

I'm a windows guy did you try or could try formatting on windows I know it's the same just weird I have one on order not going to be here until next week..

Maybe try to partition the drive….

Yeah, with the SSD installed to my Live II, I connected via USB to my Windows 11, and went to the Windows drive settings where the drive partitions are at. I then reformatted it and gave it a letter. I’m not sure how it is on Mac but I imagine it’s similar.

Did you assign it a drive letter when you formatted it? If you did and your MPC still doesn't recognize the drive, try partitioning it into 2 smaller partitions of equal size and see if that works. If it doesn't, then perhaps try another drive that is known to work and see if your MPC sees that one. It's also possible there is an actual hardware problem with your SSD connection as well - check to make sure you've got it plugged in correctly and it hasn't become unconnected. Sometime if you wedge them in, it can wiggle out of the SATA port.

In the MPC: Select the drive you wish to format from the list of storage devices. Hold the Shift button on the MPC and select Format Drive at the bottom of the display. The MPC will confirm that you want to format the drive - select OK.

Everything you suggested to do in your previous message... tried to partition the ssd, rename it with letters... still MPC does not recognized it as a drive...

1. Does said drive get recognized by your computer when you're in Controller Mode, with your MPC Live II hooked to your computer via USB?
2. Have you tried a different drive in your Live II?
