Gang - My 1st intense Force frustration, coming from the Live2... nothing in the user manual or forums, or youtube that I can find.

You know how on the MPC live you can press record+play and then your new midi recording overwrites whatever is recorded?

All I see is overdub on the force.

Meaning, 1). I recorded something into a cell. 2) I don't like it so I want to record into the same cell and replace the existing midi recording.

I often want to do 5 or 10 takes... on the MPC you just keep hitting record+play start to for a new fresh recording.

Currently it seems like the only way is to undo your recording and then start over again by pressing launch, etc, but that's a pretty weak workflow bottleneck compared to the MPC method.

I'd like an immediate one-click re-recording as well, preferably so that the one click keeps recording active, but just undoes the recording. Maybe the UNDO button coull be used for this, but it's not safe to press UNDO, it may do unpredictable things.

Like if I recorded a MIDI clip and pressed the clip launch button and the clip button turns green and the clip starts to play... I go and edit stuff in the event editor, and at some point, oops made a mistake with the editing... undo... OOPS it undid the RECORDING which I made SEVERAL MINUTES AGO. I should have finished the recording by pressing the record button, not the clip launch button.

It looks like the people who make this software, don't use it themselves.
