continuous restart mpc one +

hi, I have continuous restart problems on mpc one plus, both a standalone mode and its controller, even during short sessions.
it restarts and exits to a screen saying Your MPC did not shut down properly the last time you used it.
Shut down properly to avoid data loss.
I returned it, got another one, same problem.

Return the other one and buy something else. Problem solved. Nobody should have to put up with that shit.

Sounds like your pretty unlucky,never had this problem on any of them…

Two different faulty units sounds highly unlikely - unless they sent you the same one twice.

Does it happen for the same project?
What exactly are you doing before the MPC freezes?

Maybe there is some corrupted sample file that somehow causes this

The One+ doesn't work well with external drives attached. If you're using the usb port to attach an external drive disconnect it and it should fix your problem (but then you don't have a way to save things). In controller mode you cant have any drives attached (usb or sd slot)

This happened to me and I went through 3 brand new One+s before I figured out it was the attached drive issue

i connected a sd card, the usb cable to the pc
and a midi cable, but I have the same problem even disconnecting them

in controller mode it's almost unusable in standalone mode it can happen at any time even if I leave it on without doing anything.
it can't be the same because the one before had some scratches

So in controller mode you don’t have anything hooked up to the USB port on the live? This is what fixed my problem (before ultimately returning it anyways) was unplugging the usb drives I was using

Is there anything connected to your computer (external drives, USB ports, usb interface etc?)

And in standalone mode you don’t have anything plugged into the ports?

Also, try resetting preferences.

One last thing. I very rarely had big issues with my OG Live. I used it almost every day for 6 years, did live shows with it, traveled all over the country with it and it was very stable.

But the One+ is a shit show. I wouldn’t trust this piece of shit at all. Odd because it runs the same OS and had same processing under the hood as Live but was glitchy as hell and as I stated couldn’t even have an SD care plugged in without it crashing. 3 different units all did the exact same thing. I really don’t know how this isn’t being talked about or experienced by most users. Unless they aren’t selling….

on the computer I connected the sound card, the external hard disk and a hub connected to a synthesizer
I already tried unplugging everything but nothing

i had the normal one never had any problems
now I regret that I changed it in return
I didn't want to take Maschine but maybe I have to give him a chance

Thats weird, i have zero issues with it. Guess it crashed once yet (couple of days usage) which is pretty much equal behavior to the retro i had before.

Are you using it in controller mode with with SD card or usb drive attached? If not, try it and see what it does

Have you tried a different power outlet ? Couldn’t hurt to try.
