Bouncing clips

Guys, I've checked the manual before starting this thread. Looking for bouncing I found solutions only for arrangement mode. The other option was to resampling clips (turning the track solo).

This is something pretty close to what I wanted to achieve. This feature is accessible through not a logical way in my opinion. I still need to get used to Akai's logic (not as coherent as it should be).

Try recording the clip to arrangement track first, and then bounce to sample. That way you don't have to navigate around in the file browser and create an extra temp wav file, and you don't have to navigate around in the file browser to load it either.

What exactly do you want to do & based on your first question how does the my first suggestion of save clip as audio doesn't give what you asked for?

B-Wise suggestion is the fastest way to bounce/convert any single clip to audio and have it accessible for loading in the pool or to a storage location.

1) make sure the clip is selected
2) press the Save button
3) choose the “Clip to Audio” and Do It
4) save it someplace
5) Load it back into the pool

Logical or not, that’s what we must do.

I’m not sure how recording the clip into arrangement 1st could be faster than that.

If you need to Bounce / Mix more than 1 clip, you’ll have to use a different method.

Recording to arrangement and bouncing the arrangement track to sample leaves out the annoying steps 4 and 5. If you enjoy typing file names and using the file browser, then they're probably not a problem for you.

All this could be pretty much a single-step process. Why is there "bounce to sample" for an arrangement track, but not for a launch clip? The arrangement track is just one big clip underneath, AFAIK.

If you name the clip first, you don't have to rename it when you bounce it.
I agree there should be a bounce to sample option for clips or at least tell us the reason why its not an option, because it doesn't makes sense ...
I'll add that to the Force wishlist.
