When im using the mpc live and I load bass patches and other programs I’ve built on the mpc 2500, it adds this clip to the beginning of every single chop, and the note on function is nowhere near as smooth? Anyone else notice this or have a suggestion on how to mitigate?

I don't think the envelopes are carried over well, so you'll need to check those, plus note on pads will now be ADSR, not AD. Also you don't mention which OS you are using, JJOSXL for example is more prone to issues than Akai OS.

Ultimately the import process is generally very basic and you'll need to dive in an change a lot of things. It might be easier to just start some of the stuff from scratch by importing the samples into the MPC Live and building from a blank program

I’ve done this alot when bringing over pgm’s from 2kxl and 4k to X. A small annoyance but I already know hardly anything is ever smooth when importing from very old to new.

Trust me I know. I have been moving beats from my 2500 with JJOS into the Force & not only do I have to record all the all the seq data, all the filter settings don't really match & needs to be edited :Sigh: The good thing about it is that the new filters are better & the beats sound more or at least can sound way better in 24bit. Which is why I don’t get people saying the new MPCs, which sounds the same, I'm assumig as the Force, sound bad.

Yep.

Every beat I’ve brought over to X sounds better afterwards.
EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

Sample Edit, Discard/Silence the Clip at the beginning
