MPC software crashing when trying to export audio mix-down.

Hey, I'm trying to export an audio mix-down of a project that I did with my MPC Live (in controller mode). However, when I press "export" on the dialog screen, the software crashes. Has anybody had this happen to them? It does it every time I try to export an audio mix-down.

Using an ASUS computer with Windows 8 installed (if that helps any). Thanks in advance. I guess I should try doing it in standalone mode to see if I get the same result as well.

Works in standalone mode. No issues whatsoever.

Its the same for me. Which makes my MPC useless. I think third party plugins make it crash especially Izotope plugins. Before I started using Izotope in the MPC Software it never crashed

Yeah, I don’t even use the MPC software anymore. I pretty much use my MPC Live in standalone mode.

I know this thread was started several years ago, but I wanted to post to it anyway since I had the same problem and figured out a way to fix it - hopefully if someone else is having the same problem, this information might help them.

In my case, I am fairly certain that the crash was caused by the Kontakt (Native Instruments) plugin. The plugin was Kontakt 6 - I updated Kontakt to version 7, but for some reason version 7 only opens up in standalone mode - when I try to use the plugin within MPC Beats, it only loads Kontakt 6. I could not figure out how to make the plugin default to version 7 (it might have to do with Kontakt 7 being a VST 3... but I messed around with it for hours and still couldn't get Kontakt 7 to load within MPC Beats). Fortunately, I also had Native Instruments plugin "Komplete Kontrol" installed - using Komplete Kontrol I was able to access all the expansion packs and instruments that I was accessing in Kontakt 6. When I suspected that the Kontakt 6 plugin was the reason MPC Beats was crashing when I attempted to export a project to MP3, I went in to all my tracks and changed any tracks that were using the Kontakt plugin to the Komplete Kontrol plugin - VOILA!! After I eliminated all uses of the Kontakt plugin, I was able to export the project to an MP3 file!

New to MPC world so thanks in advance for any help all you experts can provide. In short, I'm experiencing exactly what this topic title is: my MPC Software is crashing when I try to export an audio mix-down.

Backstory/Context:
I'm trying to bring the audio from an MPC2 project into Logic, where I'll add vocals and do a final mix.
In order to work in Logic, I've loaded up the MPC2 Plugin in Logic (I've seen another option is to just record the audio from the MPC directly into Logic using my Scarlet 2i2, but wanted to keep some of the midi files intact). I'm using an MPC Key 37 as the controller, and am manipulating the MPC2 Plug-In using the Key 37 in Controller Mode.

At first I was trying to export the whole track (9 sequences), but that was crashing out so I'm trying to export just ONE sequence. (also, when I say export, I'm in the MPC2 Plugin in Logic, go to file, export, as Audio Mixdown, stereo output .wav, 24bit depth, 44.1). I click save and it immediately crashes. Trying to save it to the computer desktop.

I'm running a brand new MacBook Air (M4), and watch the computer processor monitor during the process and it stays below 10% usage. The software and drivers all appear to be the very latest versions (2.15.1 64-bit).

The sequence I'm trying to export has 7 tracks (two drum tracks that I'm using sparingly, and 5 plug-in tracks). It's 8 bars long. The drum samples are coming from The Vault 2.0, and Sonic Boom, and the Plug-Ins are coming from Fabric and Jura. (One thing I can't figure out how to do is get The Vault 2.0 and Sonic Boom on my Key 37 when in Standalone mode, not sure if that's what's making this not work).

I'm seeing some sites online that say "reduce plug-in usage" which seems to defeat the purpose... I wrote some basic music (which is a fairly simple/not complex track, IMO), want to get it out of the program, but need to reduce the amount of sounds/instruments I'm using? That's ridiculous, and like someone else on this thread said, kinda makes the software useless.

What else... I tried to "Bounce Track In Place" to bring the MPC tracks directly into Logic tracks, and that's crashing too.

Any ideas? Should I just be recording audio from the Key37 in Standalone mode, directly into logic and walking away from the preservation of the Midi Files in MPC2?
