Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, i've been reading over the manual top to bottom but the section on step sequencing is very thin.

I know you can send notes via midi in the step sequencer but i can't figure out how to send specific CC value on a single step. Using the search function on this forum is an exercise in self loathing  i finally just gave up

Basically i just want to have a sequence, and on the first step, send midi CC # 12 to an external gear.
And then maybe a different sequence or step send midi cc 11, but without having to record knob turning or anything. It needs to be on beat and just one single firing of the message.

Thank you! :worthy:

Try searching for "List Edit Mode" in the manual. In a sense, the list editor is a better step sequencer than the thing called Step Sequencer. In the list editor, you can add/insert an event, and edit MIDI events as MIDI events, not some kind of a graphical bar interpretation. Quite often you'd actually want to explicitly edit the events themselves.

Yes! That's it! :worthy: thank you! I tried it out just now and got it working. I remember now when i tried to explore that page previously the dropdown menu didnt have a "midi cc" type option so i got confused but it's under "track automation" and you simply create an event and can adjust the CC# and value!

It seems like this will work just fine for sequencing my external loop pedal :smoker:
