Hello wonderful people,

Are there any other options apart from the Tascam Model 12/16/24 and Zoom L-8,12,20 that allow you to multitrack record both external synths and USB audio from the MPC One?

Are there any audio interfaces that allow you to connect audio jacks from external synths aswell MPC audio over USB and then OUT to a laptop to a DAW?

I've had to do multiple passes before using a basic 2in2out then reconstruct in DAW.

Thankyou ;)

I think a model 12 could allow you to reroute MPC USB audio (in controller mode) back into it one of its channel strips. You switch each channel strips to be either a physical or USB input (set from the DAW). Just not sure why you would to do that?

You are better off either running the model 12 as the MPCs USB audio, but this does lose the ability to route back to a laptop unless you physically change the USB cable to your MPC. Or alternatively use the physical output into the Model 12.

What I do is have 8 analog inputs used by S2400 and then the sub out of the Model 12 goes into the MPC line in and the physical outputs of the MPC go back into the S2400. Outputs 9/10 are toggled between my Korg Prologue and Mac. This way I can send all inputs into the MPC for sampling but still output the master mix back into my Mac when required via the S2400. Usually I process sound in the S2400 as it add some character. The Model 12 is great as it's flexible with its toggle for physical and USB outs.
