I’ve purchased this MPC Key 61 couple of months ago. Been grinding some of the hardest beats I’ve ever made on it. And I’ve noticed as I’ve been rocking on it, from time to time it has the tendency of freezing up. Sometimes as I start it up and the “Sounds” display appears, the moment I hit the main button for the sequence menu to come on it completely freezes on the “Sounds” display. Again this just happens “Sometimes” not everyday. And just recently I noticed that when I loaded up a project from my installed SSD Hard Drive inside the Key 61 it freezes during the middle of the loading process, this could have been a result on me having a lot of sounds in that particular project… I’m just guessing at this point on why this is happening… So after the freezing issue I have to do a hard boot (power off and power on) on the unit and after that it’s back to normal with no problems or issues. Very weird. This has never happened to me before, especially not from my MPC X and LIVE. And it’s still practically brand new, so my question is.. has this type of issue been dealt with before? Is there a solution to this, or should I just have the unit replaced? I can’t take it to live gigs cause I’m scared I may run into this problem again! Or should I do a re-update on this unit and maybe this issue will be solved or fixed? I need HELP PLEASE!!!

Are you loading old projects from older firmware?
Are your files corrupt?
Is th ssd firmly connected?
Is the power clean? Try diff power outlet, power conditioner?

fs check the any drives you have attached as well.. healthy drives seem to have a pretty big impact in the mpc's performance.

I will! Plus I thought maybe because it’s plugged into a power surge outlet protector (kobalt power surge outlet) and not to a wall socket, maybe it’s not getting the right power voltage??? I’ll check

My ssd is good, It’s a 2tb Samsung drive and I’ve used and I have sooo much in that storage even old drum kits and samples from internet. I’ll have to check each file and see which ones could be corrupted.. and the song I’m working on i constantly load up cause I used alot of samples and plugins on it which causes longer load times.. could be the reason I don’t know but it doesn’t do this all the time. I’ll work with it some more and see if problem keeps persisting.
