I did a windows explorer search for ".dll" in the Akai and Air Instruments directories and I find nothing. It's very annoying that I can't use these expensive VSTs in anything but the MPC software. I am sure someone has come against this problem already.

On the Mac they install into standard directories, so I'd have to imagine that on Windows they shouldn't be that hard to find. I don't have a windows system to test with though.

How did you install them? It's possible that you haven't installed them as VSTs yet, but just taking a wild guess.

Have you installed the actual VSTs? It's a separate installer to the one you use for the MPC Software versions. The native versions are not in VST format, you have to go to your Akai account, download the VST installer, install, activate. It will then be available for your other DAWs.

Thanks for this response. I forgot all about the inMusic software manager. I was getting nowhere with the synth content manager. When I go to install OPx-4 using the inMusic manager, it now asks me about installing the vst on the PC. I've been stuck on this problem for months. Thanks again.
