SENDING MIDI VOLUME TO MOOG

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to send Midi volume from my Live2 to a Moog Subsequent25 linked with DIN5 cable but nothing changes.
IN and OUT channels on both machines correctly set
Any ideas ?

Do you know which cc controls the volume on the moog?

If so, set up a midi program with the selected midi port to your din port. if its mpcs internal din make it MPC if its your soundcard select that.

then when on a midi program press "program edit" There are multiple pages of cc's and you can flip through the qlink bank with the qlink button.

you can also modify the menu / qlink order by pressing edit in the top right corner as well.

That should get you control over all the knobs on your synth if you make a list of all your keyboards continuous control values.

out in the main menu, you can select the i/o in the center top menu and see what the values are as you rotate the knobs. hope this helps.

Volume should be CC 7 unless Moog decided to skip the MIDI standards..

The moog does indeed handle standard midi volume control. Always be sure to look at the midi implementation document, which is easily available online, when you're tracking down problems like this. Also, use the midi monitor built into the MPC to watch what is being sent out.
