MPC latency with sound card

Hello everyone, I wonder if using a sound card with the MPC (MPC X, MPC One, MPC Live) would add latency to the audio path?
(I plan to use a BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC1820)

naw its still blazing fast. mpc is limited to 8 audio tracks in any one project. in order for the card to even work it has to be within a certain spec. umc1820 is a good choice. i route all my gear into one and then into the mpc.

Yeah never noticed any significant latency and I've had mine connected to it since they gave us the option of using USB interfaces. I have a feeling the buffer is fixed pretty low so it's minimal, probably why folks have trouble with interfaces here and there when they start doing too much in the project.

In fact, I want to use the BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC1820 sound card in usb with an MPC one, then go back to ADAT from the Behringer to a Prism orpheus card, which I would use as a converter in stand alone mode.

That's the idea.

Entirely depends on the audio interface. Some work well, some don't. try to look up to see if other people have success with your exact model.

For example, the Zoom l-8 that i have works like a friggin dream with the mpc.

but the Zoom H4n pro i have has terrible output latency that i can't mitigate, avoid, or work around.... making it unusable with the mpc.
