This reminded me of when I first learned how to make drums or bass samples be even more boomy/bassey by using an High Pass Filter, which at first seems counter-intuitive but it works. Just turn the resonance really high then move the cutoff from 0 up to where it starts to go BOOM! & tweak to taste.
Anybody got some old school tips.
