If you "dont know shit about music" - start simple. Don't worry about plugins. Don't try to connect to your PC. Get the basics nailed down. Get the MPC BIble and go through every tutorial.

And plan to make a lot of crappy music before you make anything good. That's how you get good.

Didn't I mention like a month ago there needs to be clothing like based on quotes from members posts. You said something like: "I'm on X...the MPC, not the drug...  =$$$$

33 or so years in, I still throw away probably 10 tracks for every one that MIGHT be worthy of releasing haha.

Just a heads up - the concept of "karma" is rooted in Hinduism (or what you Christians like to call "pagans") though it also was prevalent in Buddhism, Jainism, and other Indian religions.

That aside, sounds like you have some growing pains to get through with your Live 2. Hopefully you'll get sorted.

All of the above.

But: first, yes, especially get the MPC bible and do every single tutorial in there. Then do it again, but change something in every single tutorial so that you start to learn to make the ideas your own and find out what not to do.

Having said that, if you don't like to learn that way, find a producer who uses the MPC family in your neck of the woods, find out what bribes they like (beer, weed, pizza, blowjobs...) and provide an ample supply of those bribes in return for walking you through stuff.

Also, it might not hurt to just go to youtube and obsessively absorb lots of producer/composer type channels until some of the concepts sink in a little. Adam Neely is a good place to start, and the recommendation algorithm will get you a bunch more. Keep a wikipedia tab open next to the youtube, and you will learn more in a week of coffee and bandwidth than most people learn in their whole lives.
