Nothing will be revealed at the NAMM 2024. The Force and the MPC will always have a different OS. If people want the Force functions, they can go buy a Force, AKAI policy is pretty clear at that point. A MPC is a MPC, a Force is a Force. 2 different products. Excepting anything else is being delusional. AKAI has too much Forces to flip to do anything else.

Everybody knew about the “xl” and the new One at that point. He was just regurgitating what the internet was already speculating about.

all will be revealed next year bro; mark my words, we have seen multiple features come to the MPC OS that were first on the Force OS, for example hype synth & ableton live integration, so that trend will continue.

Nothing will be revealed, I don't even want the MPC OS to be like the Force OS, the new MPC series doesn't even do everything a MPC3000 did in terms of functions, let's start by getting to the level of a 30 year old device first.

https://www.platinumaudiolab.com/free_s ... manual.pdf

Should be a mandatory reading for every MPC X/Live/One owner to see how InMusic can't even match it.

When the new MPC hardware still can't do what the 5000 brought to the table with audio recording, either the new cpu boards are a joke (well they are but that's not unique to Akai) or marketing runs the show not MPC heads. The basic 5000 hard drive recording from song mode is terrible but at least you can have audio running along side.

why does it need to have every feature from the old mpc's?

some of those features may be irrelevant now; hence why they are no longer included in the current OS; any way the 3.0 wont change the mpc OS into the Force; it should just be adding the modular elements we need from the force, such as arranger view and the mixer screen and other features.

Don't forget the more advanced macro system, track & FX reordering & I feel there's something else, but whatever, none of these Force features will make the MPC OS into the a Force. The Seqs are too different. Just like if the Force was given some MPC features like it's song mode, tempo changes, different time-sigs & a program pool, it still would make the force OS feel like an MPC.

There's certain features that should be on both units, but that's not the case, but why not? Like is the OS so different that adding track reordering would break the MPC OS? If so, OK, but tell us. But then I guess that's not the way of the Mysterious Red Ninja.

They did, three or four years ago. The MPC didn't just come out last week.

Sorry I may be having a slow moment, but based on what you quoted from my post, what do do you mean by they did 3-4 years ago? & Since I don't get the first part of your point, I also can't get why your telling me the OS ain't new?
