Does anyone know if there is a diff between the 3000/60? im looking for the cleaner of the two. Im guessing the 3000 is cleaner, am i wrong?

Ive been looking for the 3000, but found a great price on a 60 3.10.

yes cleaner, especially in High Frequency sounds, but you'd be surprised how good a 60 can sound, it doesn't have to be gritty just cuz its 12 bit, as it is 40KHz samplerate.

If you want to hold out for a 3000, pass on the great deal to someone else. But you might want to jump on it and then sell it for a bit of profit to get you closer to the 3k. Then again, you might fall in love with it ;)

Or you can get the 60 and use it to sequence another 16bit MIDI sampler (does not have to be AKAI - EMUs are great and cheap too), so you have both "dirty" and "clean" sound.

I'd get the 60 since it's a great deal and upgrade it, use it, see if it sounds good enough. The OS's are nearly identicle. If you want cleaner, sell the 60 and use that money to get closer to the 3000. Or wait and pass the deal on to someone who really wants a 60 and is holding out for a good deal.

I dont wanna elmacaco any names or anything, but I remember a certain elmacaco who chastised a certain TicToc for buying gear and then selling it at a profit.

How's that glass house working out, el? Still stone-proof?

Ah tic, you really want to bring that up? My beef was not selling it for a profit, it was buying it on ebay and listing it before you can vouch for it's condition on your own. Also, you didn't get any good deals, you paid a common price and then layed a mark up on top of that, for doing nothing, not even testing it. Not even knowing if you got your moneys worth. Unscrupulous.

This guy isnt sure which he wants because he found a good price on a 60 with OS. If he gets it, you know he'll try it, and if it suits his needs, hell keep it, if he needs a 3000, he can sell the 60 and if his deal is good, he can make some money without paying top dollar and laying on another 200 on top. If he does this, then he is as bad as you as an Ebay seller.

If you can't see the issue with that, then whatever. You might not have beef with it, but you should be able to see how other people can have beef with it.

and give it a rest man, are you really so burned up about this that you've been waiting for some kind of chance to 'get' me? you aren't going to get me, and holding a grudge like that is typical of women, not among men, so grow up.

I was joking.

go drink some more whiskey, homie, you need to relax.

Weve talked over PMs, weve talked in the forums, cant a brother take some good natured ribbing? Isnt that "the nature of men"? Dont you and your boys tease each other?

Yeah man, I thought we were cool, I couldn't just leave that hanging though. It's all good, but I'm out of whiskey, I got some agua ardiente tho, I think that will do.
