It does. I loved it the moment I heard a 909 kit on it. But it was laughed at on this forum on release.

Yes. I have three of them plus two 1000 (blue beats black in terms of that vintage sound) complete in box, waiting for the A/D converters to age just a little bit more so they sound even better in ten years…

The funny thing is, those of us in the vintage audio gear community know that "vintage capacitor" is just another way to describe an old capacitor that is running out of spec and needs to be replaced!

Speaking of the metal case: You know how these oldschool MPCs are so easy to repair by (more or less) just lifting the top off? That adds to the vintage transparency of the sound, you know, the feeling that you can hear all the elements of a track but it still sounds tight. I think this is also why the 1000 is so highly sought after nowadays because it is especially transparent in that regard.
