MPC Studio adds 60% CPU Usage!!

Trying to analyse a slow mac

And its not slow by default, spec is :
2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
Memory: 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
I load logic pro, my CPU sits at 9.7% usage
I then load the MPC plugin, it jumps to 80%

Who an earth wrote this pile of sh!t

What speed step is your processor in? might be like 80% of the lowest performance step.

Laptop? check your power-saving features put it into performance mode?

If its a desktop or tower hrmm.. that sucks. lol

It seems to have settled down since I returned from holiday - not quite sure why, although I am not sure I used the correct power supply, as i have a few for macs, so maybe that was it, dont know! sorry for delay in reply, thanks again
