If you're not already a pathological MPC user, get a Force. It's not a DAW either, but a bit closer. Since you ask about DAW something, I think you won't be happy with the MPC's sequence/track paradigm. But don't think the Force's arrangement makes it a DAW, it doesn't. In any case you'll have to learn a new, different way of producing music. The difference between whatever you're using now and MPC or Force is going to be larger than switching between Logic/Cubase/Ableton/Reaper/Reason/Bitwig/StudioOne/ProTools/Sonar/Ardour.
