Hi All,

I have been using my MPC Key 61 today and had a few issues with activate plugin error message appearing. I've tried the MPC Software and there's also issues on there trying to log in to my inMUSIC account on the activate plugins preferences page - getting 504 Gateway Time-out error in my browser. Is there anything I can do or just assume there's problems at inMUSIC's end and wait it out?

This seems to be a regular issue with their servers, the only solution I'm aware of is to wait a while and try again. I would open a support ticket with them regardless, they need to know that this is a regular occurrence.

I guess there's a possibility that all/some of the people reporting this problem are experiencing some kind of DNS issue within their own network, so a reboot of your router could be worth trying, not going to hurt, especially as it's likely Akai support will suggest it.

Thanks, yes I did a router re-boot and tried another internet connection. Still getting gateway timeout error. I am reporting the issue with the inMusic chat. Now I can't use MPC software at the moment until I can get my plugin activation login working again.

So I did get an email back from them this morning where they admitted there were server issues and have sorted them. I'm back in my project working now but we are paying for these extra plugins that fail as soon as there's a problem with their servers? It's not particularly inspiring.

Akai reckon that once you've activated your plugins in standalone mode they should stay activated, there's no ongoing activation checks. But if you choose to log out of your account, then you'll have to activate again.

That said, they admitted there were some bugs related to this, so we'll have to see what happens. I've not had any issues since 2.12. But this is a new system, so there's inevitably going to be teething problems.
