Problem with my S950

Hi, I'm new to this whole outboard sampler thing (been doing all my previous production using software).

I just bought an S950, and it seems to work great except I can't save anything to a floppy disk.

When I format the disk, the dots fill up my display like it should, and the disk is doing its thing. But, whenever I try to save anything it is telling me that my disk is unformatted.

I am using 3.5" Verbatim Datalife DS-HD disks. Is there a preferred media for this sampler?

If I need to get a replacement floppy drive, where can I get one?

I thought the s950 only saved on DS-DD disks but I could be mistaken.

According to what I've read, the S900 was the one that only read DS-DD disks.

I haven't tried a double-density disk yet (unfortunately I don't have any).

Perhaps someone switched the disk drive with sn S900.

Try this:

Theres a hole on the bottom right corner of DS-HD disks. Put just some scotch tape or duct tape or whatever, just somethin to cover the hole with (make sure you cover both sides of the hole). Then put the disk in, and try to format it.


My EPS16 only uses DD disks, but i cant find dd's anywhere, so, you do that, it tricks it into thinkin its a dd.
