Drum track, Note mode Sample swap

Can I swap samples between two pads (for instance C13 and D16), in a drum track rearranging the pad layout in Note mode?

You can do this in a drum program, but you’ll need to switch banks.

There's no direct swapping, but it should be a feature, so we could stop doing the copy & paste pad finger dance. Just let us swap between two pads, which is so simple & more efficient. The lack of this feature is another sign the software engineers don't use the Force to make beats

Swapping track & clips is something I've been asking for a while now. The Yamaha RS7000 could do this & that's from 2001. Come on Akai add more QOL features!

We also need the ability to copy pads between different tracks

I think he talking about changing pad slots in a drum track when using Note mode, which is the Force equivalent of a MPC drum program.

Since you're on the MPC I don't know if you're aware that the Force doesn't have a drum program pool like the MPC where multiple tracks all use the same program, instead, very drum track is its own independent "program" with 128 pad slots & everything else like in the MPC, but if you make multiple copies of a drum track, all will share the same samples from the sample pool, but each track parameters/settings are independent.
Which has its pros/cons.

You can also use MiDI tracks to send data to a drum track to trigger its pads/sounds, now this 1 drumbtrack can edit the sample for multiple MIDI tracks. This method its pros/cons as well.

Thank you for your input. It was the last question I had on my functionality list. If somebody wants a 2nd Force or a Force relatively cheap, let me know.
I'm gonna rock this sp404 and maybe look at turning on the plus after I stop hating it, again.

This is not entirely true. You can switch the pad setting to pad or program (I think I just woke up) and in pad mode you’ll edit only the sample on the pad and on the other the sample for the whole program. Or I’m misunderstanding in that case I’m sorry in advance. (Again it’s really early here lol)

It would've helped of just quoted the part that you think is untrue. Anyway, from what I think your trying to say. You're talking about slice options for the pads. The OP want to exchange 2 pads with all their pad settings while in note mode without having to "copy & paste, & copy & paste" like a savage, but Just simply swap 2 pads positions.
We should be able to swap tracks/clips as well.

To swap pads A and B:

Copy pad A to empty scrap pad C
Copy pad B to pad A
Copy scrap pad C to pad B

That's not what the OP is asking for. Pretty sure OP knows how to copy pads. Swapping between pads A & B without that empty C crap. Currently, it can't be done, unless there's some secret button combo that someone knows & would to share it....well, now is your time to show off your hidden Force hotkey skills.

I found out how to do this from watching this demo. When you're in Grid/Clip editor press the Edit icon (I never go in here) on the top right of the window & press copy pads & you'll get the option to copy: a Pad, Bank, or Range. Nice! They should add Swap & had give it a hotkey
