Can’t hear the audio from external synths

I’m sure this has been a question on here in the past but I got two synths the micro freak and minilogue analog synth from Korg and I’m trying to connect those to either my mpc live or key61. I have followed the majority of the videos online that say to connect it via usb and run the audio outputs to the mpc. I changed the midi port to the correct synth on my mpc and went to the audio tab and toggled it to “In” still no sound. My setup is synth via usb and audio cables > mpc via usb > mac via usbc> audio interface via audio cables > monitors. Micro freak is usb powered. Korg minologue is adapter powered. Help please!

On the audio track, make sure you've set AUDIO INPUT to '1/2' (or whichever MPC inputs you connected the synth to).

Set monitoring to IN or AUTO

Record arm the audio track (grey circle to red).

Yes, all that is set that way. The audio cables aren’t in a 1,2 they are in a L and R INPUT. Thanks

It sounds like you haven't hooked the audio output of the MPC to anything.

With that kind of arrangement, you really need a mixer.
